[ON RESERVE] Rare original vintage Russian movie poster for the classic pioneering film by Sergei M. Eisenstein - Battleship Potemkin (Bronenosets Potyomkin / Броненосец Потемкин) - starring Aleksandr Antonov, Vladimir Barsky and Grigori Aleksandrov. Great illustration showing the cannons of the battleship Potemkin appearing from behind a red curtain with a red flag flying high on the ship's mast and the title text across the image in stylised orange letters. Artwork by Anatoly Belsky (1896-1970). This rare poster was issued in a print run of only 2,000 copies. The reverse of the poster features a highly detailed pencil sketch by Anatoly Belsky for another film poster he designed - Georgi Saakadze (1942). Good condition, top margin most likely trimmed, faint creases, minor stains and tears on margins. Show more
