The Bauer Pro Senior Goalie Knee Guards deliver pro-level knee protection built for butterfly goalies who go down hard and often. Engineered at Bauer's design centre in Toronto, Canada, the 2025 Pro knee guard is the top of Bauer's goalie protection lineup — combining premium materials, an innovative fit system, and butterfly-specific design into one of the best knee guards in the game. The asymmetric CURV composite protection cap is shaped specifically to complement butterfly positioning, covering the knee cap fully when you drop down to make saves and protecting against pucks, balls, and hard surface impacts. A dual-density foam system pairs Bauer's Defense Cloud Tech (DCT) foam with traditional vinyl nitrile (VN) foam in the knee landing zone — absorbing repeated impact from drops without breaking down over a long season. The ThermoCore Zero lining wicks moisture and keeps the guard fresh and breathable against your base layers, even deep into long games. The advanced compression sleeve system locks the guard in place on the leg without binding, secured at the top with a silicone-beaded upper strap that grips your pants and keeps everything in position through explosive movements. Slik Clip loops integrate seamlessly with Bauer's goalie garter belt for players who prefer that setup. The lower section wraps around the calf and tibia with adjustable straps for a fully customizable, locked-in fit. Lacrosse goalies take note: These knee guards are increasingly popular with box and field lacrosse goalies who want maximum knee protection on hard artificial turf and concrete arena floors. The CURV composite cap and dual-density foam system handle repeated ball and floor impact just as effectively as puck impact — making these a smart upgrade for any lacrosse goalie looking for elite coverage below the knee. Who is it for? Senior hockey goalies and lacrosse goalies who want the best knee protection available — optimized for butterfly technique and repeated drops on hard surfaces. What is CURV composite? CURV is Bauer's proprietary thermoformed composite material — used across their top-line goalie pads and protective gear. It's lightweight, rigid, and impact-resistant — providing superior protection without the bulk of traditional hard plastics. What is Defense Cloud Tech foam? DCT is Bauer's premium impact-absorbing foam used throughout their Pro and Supreme lines. It's engineered to remain soft and responsive on initial contact while dissipating force quickly — reducing the cumulative stress on your knees over a full season of butterfly saves. Key Features: CURV composite asymmetric cap — butterfly-optimized, full knee coverage on drops Dual-density DCT + VN foam — superior impact absorption in the knee landing zone Advanced compression sleeve — locks in place through explosive movements Silicone-beaded upper strap — grips pants, prevents slipping Slik Clip garter loops — compatible with Bauer goalie garter belt ThermoCore Zero lining — moisture-wicking, breathable comfort Adjustable lower straps — fully customizable fit Engineered at Bauer's design centre in Toronto, Canada Sold as a pair Suitable for hockey and lacrosse goalies
