This monster bowie may look like something Michael Myers would use, but for all of its over the top size it is a functional BBQ slicer. The 13" blade has a full edge-to-spine tapered bevel, from just under a 1/4" spine to a very thin edge. From edge to spine is just over 4", this is a very wide knife. This knife was a fun side project, that took me forever to make. It is truly one-of-a-kind, this was purely my imagination let loose. Since this was a one and only sort of knife, I did test it on a prime rib roast to make sure it would do it's job. It did! Sliced it up beautifully. The coffin-shaped guard is made from copper and black G-10, and the coffin-shaped handle is made from dyed and stabilized beechnut wood. The blade was handforged from new-stock 5160 high carbon steel. The BBQ Bowie, for when subtlety is just not your thing. Comes with the storage box.
