Painted entirely by hand, the Barbecue Map took 375 painstaking hours to create over the course of one year and ten months. It includes 184 of the most renowned BBQ restaurants across America - from old school classics to the leaders of the new school. Also included are 25 Kings and Queens of BBQ (from the 1800s to today), a timeline of BBQ history, a ranking of the most popular BBQ sides and desserts, and the signature dish and sauce of every regional style of BBQ from North Carolina to Hawaii. The BBQ Map is meant to be both an archival document of the culture, as well as a road map and check list for foodies and barbecue aficionados across the country and beyond.
