Electronic E2 airbag pack with multiple deployments, airline-friendly design, and a 35L, fully featured chassis built for full days in serious backcountry terrain. The BCA Float E2 35L Avalanche Airbag 2026 is a full-size, electronic airbag pack built around the Alpride E2 supercapacitor system, giving you fast inflation, multiple deployments, and hassle-free airline travel with no gas cylinders. The E2 unit is about 40% smaller and roughly 11–25% lighter than the earlier E1 engine (depending on source), freeing up more usable volume while still driving a 162‑litre airbag for serious slide scenarios. Power comes from the supercapacitor, topped up via USB, with the option to add two AA batteries so the system can recharge itself in the field and hold a charge for weeks between trips. On the carry side, the 35L chassis runs waterproof-coated ripstop nylon, a side-stash pocket, back-panel main access, curved side zip, removable ski/snowboard/compression straps, a dedicated avy tools pocket, “cooling fin” back ventilation, hipbelt pocket, and BC Link/hydration compatibility, making it ready for touring, sled access, and longer missions. Alpride E2 supercapacitor system: Fully electronic, TSA-approved airbag engine that’s more reliable in the cold and allows multiple deployments without gas canisters. Compact, lighter E2 unit: Roughly 40% smaller and 11–25% lighter than the older E1, leaving more room in the pack while still driving a 162 L airbag. Multiple power options: Supercapacitor charges via USB, with optional AA batteries to maintain charge and enable extra deployments on multi-day trips. 35L all-day capacity: About 31 L usable with the E2 installed (35 L with it removed), giving enough space for layers, tools, food, rope, and extras on bigger days. Snow-specific layout: Waterproof-coated nylon, side and back stash access, removable ski/snowboard carry, dedicated safety tools pocket, and “cooling fin” back panel for touring comfort. Fit and weight: Available in S/M and M/L, with an internal-frame harness, hipbelt, and around 2.8 kg weight including the E2 system, tuned for ski, snowboard, and sled use.
