PLEASE READ PLEASE NO COLOR REQUESTS. I know everyone wants the darkest and I am very transparent with what I ship. Introducing the Chocolate Egg Wonder – the ultimate breed for egg enthusiasts seeking some of the darkest chocolate brown eggs! These Marans are not your average birds. While all BCMs (Black Copper Marans) are known for laying some of the darkest eggs of any breed, achieving those rare, deep dark hues takes precision and dedication. The key ingredient? The rooster. For sustained dark egg production, you need a rooster that hatched from a dark egg, and it takes years of careful breeding to get that right. Our breeding program ensures only the gentlest, most kind roosters are used, as their temperament is passed down, ensuring a calm and pleasant flock. Expect eggs that vary from shades of dark brown (around a 7 on the French 1-9 color scale), sometimes with speckles or a deep purplish hue, particularly in the early spring or late fall when the birds are first laying. We can occasionally get a 9, but this is rare. In addition to their exceptional egg color, these birds are known for their gentle demeanor. The roosters are friendly giants, and the hens are often the first to jump into your lap, eager for a treat. Please note, while we guarantee safe packaging and delivery, we cannot guarantee hatch rates due to the many variables outside of our control. My lines originated from Stallings farm in 2021 I will continue to work with Mike’s amazing genetic line to produce exceptional Black Copper Marans with:✅ Rich, dark egg color✅ Strong size and conformation✅ Consistent quality and temperament Mike’s genetics are known for their excellence, and I’m proud to carry that forward in my breeding program.
