BCY 652 Spectra Bowstring Material in black is a high-performance string you can trust for traditional archery. It's ideal for longbow and recurve shooters who want faster arrow speed and stronger energy transfer without sacrificing control. Material: 652 Spectra — the same high-performance bowstring material historically known as Fast Flight, offering low stretch and efficient energy transfer for traditional bows. Color: Black — discreet on most bows and reduces glare in outdoor conditions. Package Size: 1/4 lb spool — a practical size for DIY string building or replacements; waxed to ease serving and reduce friction during use. Recommended Strand Count: 18–22 strands — adjust based on your bow’s draw weight and desired balance of speed and control. Compatibility: Designed for longbows and recurve bows — a staple choice for classic archery setups. Performance: Focused on speed and energy delivery — optimized to maximize arrow velocity while maintaining torsional stability. Length/Value: Approximately 8,200 ft per pound waxed — for 1/4 lb, you’ll have roughly 2,050 ft of material to work with, suitable for multiple strings or practice sessions. Using BCY 652 Spectra helps you achieve consistent tuning, reliable arrow flight, and crisp performance in the field. The waxed finish reduces friction at the serving and along the string, contributing to longer string life with straightforward maintenance. This material is especially advantageous for traditional archers seeking a balance of speed and control, whether refining a hunting setup or advancing your target practice. When building or replacing strings, start with the recommended strand count and store the spool in a cool, dry place to preserve performance over time.
