It’s inspired by growing up on Coolangatta Beach, racing out of the ocean, feet burning on hot sand, aiming for the strip of grass beyond the dunes. The fence line that separates the beach from the grass was always the marker. Along it, wildflowers grew, bright against the dry sand and sun-bleached posts. The colours come straight from that landscape- ochres, sandy yellows, dusty greens and faded coastal blues. The layered marks and uneven textures reflect movement and heat, the quick shifts between water, sand and land. Nothing is calm or static here, just the sprint to cooler grounds! Each original artwork is one-of-a-kind and created in my Melbourne studio. The piece will be carefully packaged in a custom double-walled box to ensure safe delivery.
