The color bead bar subtraction aims to help children visualize and understand subtraction through hands-on manipulation of materials, promoting a concrete grasp of numbers and math ematical operations. This bead bar subtraction work includes 54 equations, with differences not exceeding 9 (static subtraction). Includes: 6 pages in black & white 6 pages in color instructions This work can be completed without using the bead bars during the lesson. However, it is more effective and offers a richer sensory experience for the child when they can physically touch and manipulate the bead bars. If you are using the bead bars to demonstrate the equation, then you will need 1 set of the color bead stair and 1 set of the negative bead stair (dark grey/light grey). The bead bars are colored according to traditional Montessori colors. If your bead bars have a different color scheme, you can use the black and white set and create a master copy that follows your own color scheme. Pages print on letter-size paper (8½" x 11").
