9 hop-forward cans from Lewes, East Sussex Beak Brewery is an independent brewery and taproom in Lewes, East Sussex, known for hop-forward pales, IPAs, and a growing mixed fermentation programme. It started life as a nomadic project, brewing small-batch, seasonally-inspired beer at sites around the UK before putting down roots on the Cliffe Industrial Estate in 2020. The setup today includes 15 keg lines in the taproom and a barrel programme that sits quietly alongside the core hop-forward work - a signal that Beak think in more than one direction at once. The beers run from juicy, fruit-led pale ales through to DIPAs and the occasional lager or imperial stout. Hop-forward is the default register, but there's enough range in the catalogue to keep things interesting.
