Beam Stool The Beam Stool is the foundation of the Beam System—Goodesign’s modular furniture platform built from a single repeated architectural element. Each Beam module begins as a 1/4-inch aluminum sheet, precision cut and bent twice at 90 degrees to create a structural form that is minimal, durable, and highly efficient. Developed over years of refinement, the Beam module was engineered around a precise dimensional logic that allows the system to scale seamlessly into larger furniture forms while maintaining consistency in proportion and structure. Assembled with stainless steel hardware and threaded rubber feet, two Beam modules form the Beam Stool at its final dimensions: 19" high 18.5" wide 15" deep Compact yet highly functional, the Beam Stool works as seating, side table, pedestal, or record stand. Its proportions are especially well suited for turntables, with space below for vinyl storage. More than a standalone object, the Beam Stool establishes the geometry for the wider Beam family—consoles, desks, shelving, cabinets, and future modular forms—all built from the same core logic. The result is a system designed for efficient production, endless expansion, and long-term use. Finishes The Beam System is offered in: Raw Brushed Aluminum – unfinished brushed aluminum with a direct material character. Because it is uncoated, it may be more prone to scratches, marks, and wear over time. Clear Anodized Aluminum – added surface protection while preserving the natural aluminum appearance. Black Anodized Aluminum – a darker architectural finish with increased durability. Aluminum is a real industrial material, and natural variations, light marks, or minor imperfections can occur.
