Pole Beans - A grex of pole beans grown and saved by our donors all over the country, ready to begin landracing. Maximum Diversity Beans - Several young landraces have been brought together along with many heirloom donations. The vast bulk of this mix is Phaseolus vulgaris, but I spotted cowpeas and tepary beans as well as a little sweet corn that I removed as I found it but there was enough that surely some slipped through. Earliest common dry beans - Bred by Joseph Lofthouse and grown by both Joseph and Julia Dakin, we expect these beans to primarily exhibit a bush-bean growth habit and produce pods earlier than most. These have been selected for production of dry beans, but many of them will produce very good snap beans as well. Show more
