Beard / Hair Bead Handmade beard and hair beads that have been etched with an Elder / Younger Futhark runic band. We use both the Elder and Younger Futhark runes. The Elder Futhark is the oldest form of the runic alphabets and was used by the northern Germanic tribes during their migration period north, right up until 800 CE. During the late 9th century, the Elder Futhark was simplified by the Scandinavians to create the Younger Futhark and cut from 24 runes to just 16. We offer two lengths of beads, 15mm and 25mm, and our beard and hair beads range between 6mm - 12mm in diameter. If you would like larger, order the 12mm and leave the exact size in the order notes. Handmade Material: Copper Diameter: 6mm - 12mm. Length: 15mm or 25mm. Sold individually not in pairs . All our jewellery is handmade in the U.K using the highest quality material available. Please be aware that it is all handmade to order by our local jeweller so there is a production time of up to 2 weeks once the order has been placed.
