Beau Bridges is a pen that was hand-turned. The wood was all sustainably sourced from fallen timbers. Accepts Cross pen ink refills, which are widely available. Made of white oak burl. A burl occurs when a tree starts to sprout a new branch. Either from the branch breaking off or a vascular problem, that branch fails. The tree then closes itself off and repairs itself, like a forming a scar. The result is some really unique, swirly grain patterns. **The handmade pens are just that. Made by hand. One at a time. On a lathe. By a guy. Because they are made by hand, they are also completely unique. The one that you receive and cherish will be slightly different than the one that is pictured.
