As he likes to say, “Every button has a past life.” About Beau McCall: It all began with a jar of clothing buttons. Fascinated with the buttons his mother kept stored for years in a jar, he began experimenting with the buttons and has since created a variety visual and wearable art using this everyday material. Born in Philadelphia, PA, McCall currently lives and works in Harlem, NY.
