Guy Breton is one of the kings of the back-to-nature movement in Beaujolais. He, Marcel Lapierre, Jean-Paul Thévenet, and Jean Foillard, dubbed the "Gang of Four" by renowned wine importer Kermit Lynch, called for the return to older practices of viticulture and viniculture, never using synthetic herbicides or pesticides, harvesting late, rigorously sorting, and utilizing minimal sulfur dioxide (or none at all). They turned the world of Beaujolais upside down, and putting the region on the path towards stardom. This wine is produced from grapes grown on a tiny 2.5 acre plot holding 80 year old Gamay vines. It was farmed organically, and after a traditional 100% whole-cluster fermentation, the wine was aged in Burgundian barrels. It is bottle unfiltered and unfined. 12.5% ABV
