For those who prefer a compartment style box, these Beaverhead boxes are deep enough to hold small dry flies and soft hackles without the hackles getting smashed, but with a magnet ic bottom to help hold nymphs in place as well. While these aren't designed to be large enough to hold big dry flies like stimulators or chernobyls, if you carry dry fly/emerger patterns for midges and smaller mayflies/caddis that can be hard to get in and out of foam boxes without crushing, these would be a great box for those.
