Sourced from two spec ific parcels that share ancient Villafranchian terraces, the vines are surrounded by rolled stones and river pebbles. The hand-picked fruit undergoes a four-week whole-cluster maceration driven by native vineyard wild yeasts in neutral vats. It undergoes a natural aging process, maturing for twelve months in a large thirty-two-hundred liter oak foudre with zero added sulfur. It pours a dark ruby color, releasing aromas of wild blackberry, dark plum, licorice, and warm spices. On the palate, the medium-bodied frame is juicy and precise, balancing concentrated red fruit with a fine-grained tannin structure. Savory notes of black pepper, damp earth, and garrigue add depth across the fluid mouthfeel without feeling heavy.
