It’s a 1968 Woody Hayes original that’s become part of Buckeye lore: when asked why he went for the two-point conversion instead of an extra point when Ohio State led Michigan 50-1 4 in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, Hayes reportedly said, “Because I couldn’t go for 3”.
