These extensions add extra support to the mattress that extends past the base cabinet, while also creating air flow under the mattress preventing mold and mildew from forming. Thes e are built from one piece of 3/4" Baltic Birch plywood, sanded and sealed with 3 coats of Lacquer. The side and bottom edges can also be covered in laminate to match your specific Airstreams interior finish for an additional cost.
