Artisanal Beeswax Wraps A Sustainable Heritage Alternative to Plastic Our handcrafted beeswax wraps are a return to traditional food preservation. Unlike plastic, which suffocates food and traps moisture, these wraps allow your food to breathe—keeping your garden harvest crisper and your sourdough crusts better for longer. How to Use Activate: Gently warm the wrap in your hands to activate the beeswax and resin, making it pliable. Mold: Wrap it over a bowl, a block of cheese, or a half-cut vegetable. Seal: Hold for a few seconds. As the wrap cools, it creates a firm, customized seal that holds its shape securely. The Ingredients: Why They Matter 100% Cotton Fabric: A sturdy, breathable base that provides durability and allows for natural air circulation. Pure Beeswax: Creates a natural moisture barrier and antimicrobial coating that keeps food fresh while remaining flexible. Pine Resin: Adds the necessary adhesive properties, helping the wrap cling to dishes and produce without slipping. Jojoba Oil: Enhances flexibility and softness, preventing the wax from cracking over time and making the wrap easier to mold. Benefits for Your Food By choosing beeswax over plastic, you are providing a non-toxic, semi-permeable environment for your food. This is especially beneficial for living foods like raw cheeses and fermented breads that need to "breathe" to maintain their flavor and prevent mold. Care Instructions Wash: Hand wash with cool water and mild soap immediately after use. Dry: Air dry completely on a flat surface or by hanging. Avoid Heat: Keep away from hot water, microwaves, and ovens, which can damage the natural coating. Life Cycle: With proper care, these wraps last 6–12 months. When they reach the end of their life, they are fully compostable and can be returned to the earth.
