BEETROOT Cylindra seeds Selection from Packet of 50 Seeds, 25g, 100g & 250g Beetroot – Cylindra is a delicious and very high yielding cylindrical shaped beetroot. Can become quite large and yet remains tender. Ideal for pickling. Beetroot Cylindra is a long smooth dark red beet averaging 15-25cm, excellent for uniform slicing. Interior flesh is dark-red free from rings sweet and easy to peel. Roots grow almost entirely underground with small reddish-green tops. This variety is bolt resistant. Beetroot is a cluster seed with 2 -4 true seeds per cluster. Sowing Instructions Beetroots are remarkably easy to grow and can be grown across a wide range of climates. It prefers moist, sunny conditions with no excessive heat. It is sown as a warm-season crop in most regions but performs best during the cooler, drier months in tropical zones where it may prefer some shade in summer conditions Sow seeds direct or in punnets in winter/ cooler times in tropics and anytime in milder climates. Space plants 10cms apart in rows 20cms wide. Harvest leaves after 35 days and after 60 days for the root.
