These golden beauties are an absolute delight; use them whole or quartered, baked, sautéed, steamed or in soups. They have a slightly honeyed taste, sweeter than red beetroots, and they don’t dye other ingredients or stain the dishes they are prepared in; after all, at the end of a long work day, the last thing you want to do is get your hands dirty. Exceptionally sweet roots with tasty green leaves. Tender and sweet even when they get older, don't become fibrous. Tops that are ideal for use as spinach with excellent flavour doesn't stain, used cooked, in salads or for pickling. Golden Beetroots have a great mild taste with golden roots that can be lifted as baby beets, making an attractive addition to mixed salads or left to mature. Sowing Instructions Beetroots are remarkably easy to grow and can be grown across various climates. It prefers moist, sunny conditions with no excessive heat. It is sown as a warm-season crop in most regions but performs best during the cooler, drier months in tropical zones where it may prefer some shade in summer conditions. Sow seeds direct or in punnets in winter/ cooler times in the tropics and anytime in milder climates. Space plants 10 cm apart in rows 20 cm wide. Harvest leaves after 35 days and after 60 days for the root.
