The Begin Again medallion is handmade here in Southern California. The material is Polished brass. Since this product is handmade there will be slight difference in marking on the hand polished medallions, you are more than welcomes to request a photo of the most current batch prior to purchase. This necklace is not meant to be worn in the water or during any "wet" activities. Remove the necklace before bed to prolong the life span of the piece. It is normal for the polished Brass medallion to get darker over time. The great thing is its solid polished brass so you could either have it re-polished or you can clean it.
