Designed for beginners and developing artists, this monthly class focuses on building confidence while learning the essential skills needed to draw what you see. Students will explore composition, value, line, form, perspective, texture, and shading through guided exercises, observational studies, and creative projects. Working from photographs and live objects, students will develop the skills needed to interpret and translate what they see onto paper. Drawing can often feel intimidating, especially for beginners who believe “I can’t draw.” Michael’s supportive teaching style helps students move past the pressure of “getting it right” and instead enjoy the process of learning, experimenting, and creative exploration.
