Description: Have you always wanted to know how to quilt? This is the perfect class to get you started! In this class we'll cover all the steps of the quilting process, from picking your fabric to adding the final binding. Quilting has so many skills involved in it! This class is designed to start small to give you exposure to all the steps of the process. We'll cover things like: Selecting fabrics and patterns including color theory Best practices for cutting and staying organized How to understand a quilt pattern Piecing and getting a perfect 1/4" seam allowance Basting Quilt top, batting and backing Machine Quilting on a domestic machine Binding Duration: 5 hrs with breaks Students Bring: You do not need to bring anything for this class, just show up ready to learn and have fun! *optional we will be using mini charm packs and fat quarters, if you already have a mini charm pack or fat quarter you would like to use you are welcome to bring them.We'll Provide: Students will choose from our selection of mini charm packs and a coordinating fat quarter.We'll supply all the needed machines and tools to complete your project.You'll leave with: At the end of class you'll take home a completed mini quilted pouch and a quilting handout with all the information covered in class. You'll be ready to dive into your first full size quilt!Skill Level: Intermediate - Students should have completed at least 2-3 sewing projects on their own before taking this class.
