The long-selling incense Kobunboku has been reimagined through packaging design by the fashion brand KEITA MARUYAMA, expressing the world of its fragrance. This edition features a shorter type of incense (approx. 9 cm) presented in a paper tube. The name Kobunboku comes from a Chinese tale, in which the plum blossom was praised as the “flower of peace that loves literature.” This incense is crafted with an abundance of natural ingredients such as sandalwood, cinnamon bark, and borneol. First created over 100 years ago, Kobunboku has been loved not only throughout Japan but also by fans overseas. Its lingering fragrance carries a gentle sweetness that is never overwhelming.
