The 1" opening in the bottom of each cup will handle most rainfall conditions. This product is made to last a lifetime! Each rain chain comes with a matching v-hook. The v-hook sits inside the gutter opening to hold the rain chain in place. Installation Tip: The connecting wires have threaded end nuts.
