Bella Modella Primitivo is a full, rounded red from Puglia, southern Italy, made entirely from Primitivo, delivering generous, ripe fruit and supple tannins. Expect an intense ruby colour with violet highlights, aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry and plum jam, plus touches of fig, sweet spice and a hint of vanilla or cocoa from oak. The palate is plush and warming, with soft, sweet-edged tannins and a smooth, lingering finish.It is very much a comfort-food red, ideal with roast lamb or beef, rich ragùs, baked pasta, grilled sausages, pizza with spicy salami, venison and mature hard cheeses.
