The Bellanca Super Viking is a single-engine, four-seat, high-performance general aviation aircraft produced primarily from the late 1960s through the late 1970s. It is widely celebrated for its responsive, "sports-car" handling and incredible cruise speeds. However, it is structurally unique compared to its contemporaries; instead of an all-metal build, it features a structural welded tubular steel fuselage covered in fabric and fully wooden wings constructed from Sitka Spruce and mahogany plywood. A total of 1,356 Bellanca Viking and Super Viking aircraft were built. Production primarily took place between the late 1960s and the 1990s in Alexandria, Minnesota, with the vast majority (1,019 units) rolling off the assembly line during the peak years of 1968 to 1975.
