Belle Âme is one of Lie’s finest compositions, a tapestry of finest quality orris washed through with a mournful frankincense note. Tonka bean resin and a deliciously powdered chocolate dust are perfectly balanced by steam distillation of blue ginger rhizomes that illuminate the smudged boudoir melancholy with a spicy, aqueous lemon vibe. Antoine has always understood the alchemy of flattering key notes without sacrificing nuance and atmosphere.
