This recording was prepared using the Ricordi critical edition published in 2003, without any cuts. I have corrected what is almost certainly a misprint on page 37, bar 108 (compar e page 33, bar 76). However in the act 2 duet with Romeo I have left bars 282 and 341 as printed since they are both perfectly possible. Act 2 is included twice. The version simply called 'Act 2' follows the critical edition while the one with 'old Ricordi' in the filename follows the Ricordi edition of the late 19th century, the difference being about a minute of music in the middle of the duet.
