How our sizes work Every belt and dog collar we make is sized from the fold at the buckle to the middle hole. Order a 38 and the middle hole sits 38" from the buckle fold, with two holes on either side in case you gain or lose a little weight. That's why the guide has you measure to the hole you wear: the number you get is the size to order, and it lands you on the center hole. The thickness rule (belts): our belts are much thicker than most, and a thick belt needs more leather to wrap the same waist. If you measured a thin belt, add 2" to what the tape says, or order 4" over your pant size (a 34 pant wears a 38). Dog collars: order the number you measured.
