NEW Enhanced Formula Benchmark Perfect Mash® A transformational complete feed, naturally low in starch and sugar. Rarely has a feed been embraced by the equestrian community as much as Perfect Mash. By using highly fermentable super fibres as an energy source instead of grains and grain by-products, we have acknowledged that fundamentally our horses are fibre fermenters rather than grain digesters and created a feed that is in tune with the natural way of things, making it an ideal ration for a wide variety of horses and ponies. Highly fermentable super fibres in Perfect Mash stimulate the production of volatile fatty acids (VFAs), a horse’s natural, fat based, energy supply. The real game changer has been the inclusion of Agrimos® and Yea-Sacc® in Perfect Mash. We believe that when you combine pre and probiotics with highly fermentable fibre, there is an enhanced effect, which can have a rapid and positive outcome on horses’ gut health and overall wellbeing. There are countless examples of this transformational effect reported by Benchmarkers. Benchmark Perfect Mash® is formulated for all horses, but has proven to be particularly suitable for: - Horses and ponies that need extra condition, without the fizz. - Horses and ponies in light to medium work, needing a cool ration. - Horses and ponies participating in trail riding or endurance that require energy to be available over an extended period. - Horses that are reactive to high starch, grain-based feeds. - Horse and ponies prone to laminitis or metabolic diseases such as Cushings Syndrome. - Horses and ponies that are suffering from, or prone to digestive issues or stomach ulcers. - Horses recuperating after intestinal surgery. Benchmark Perfect Mash® has good levels of energy, mainly through microbial fermentation producing “cool” energy and fat content in the feed yet contains less than 6% sugars and starch. Perfect for the laminitic and EMS horse and pony, and that horse who gets a bit hot on conventional feeds but still needs a complete feed. Super Fibres – Fibre is the natural source of feed for horses and Benchmark Perfect Mash® is packed with some of the best super fibres available. Soybean hulls and Lupin hulls enhance microbial fermentation in the hindgut, improving digestion, vitamin production and overall health.
