again working with john leckie on production, the fall's third beggars album,'bend sinister', was a distinctly down affair - not that the fall were ever a shiny happy band, of cour se, but both music and lyrics seemed like a darker corner to dwell in. it's the fall's heart of darkness, a lurching, sometimes ludicrous, thunderous beast. 'dktr. faustus' has such an air of satanic doom whilst 'gross chapel - british grenadiers' is the sound of a hungover thunderstorm. this is an under rated fall album Show more
