Discontinued shaft style — clearance pricing. This is Bending Branches' older polished-shaft Navigator, replaced in their current lineup by the Posi-Lok version. It's still hand-built to the same spec and backed by Bending Branches' warranty, but it's sold at a reduced price as remaining stock, and Bending Branches does not guarantee exact cosmetic appearance or provide pre-purchase photo samples on this style. The Navigator pairs an aviation-grade T-700 carbon shaft with hand-crafted red alder and roasted basswood blades, wrapped in fiberglass with Rockgard edge protection. Wood blades give one of the more forgiving forward strokes on the market: the natural buoyancy springs the paddle out of the water, and entry and exit are quieter than composite or plastic blades. The 96 sq. in. blade is built for a natural, low-angle stroke on flatwater lakes, ponds, and slow rivers, plus sea kayaking and canoeing. The shaft is ovalized where your hands grip it for comfort and control, and the snap-button ferrule adjusts to 0° or 60° feather, left or right hand, with a carbon ferrule insert instead of plastic or glass.
