BendPak Mobi-EVS Transmission Support Read this before you order: it is an adapter, not a jack. The Mobi-EVS Transmission Support is a saddle that mounts to a lifting table, and BendPak states that it requires the #5216120 Universal Deck Mount Kit. If you buy this on its own expecting a complete transmission jack, the box will arrive with nothing to bolt it to — which is why that is the first line on this page. Confirm you have the deck mount kit, or add it to your order, before you buy. Bought correctly — a Mobi-EVS, the deck mount kit and this saddle — it turns a general lifting table into a proper transmission handling setup for automotive and light truck work, on removals as well as installations. The bi-directional saddle is the feature The saddle adjusts in two directions, and that is what makes one adapter cover a workshop's worth of driveline components rather than one gearbox. A transmission, a transfer case and a differential are three different shapes with three different mounting faces, and each of them presents its own idea of where the flat part is. An adapter that only adjusts along one axis leaves you shimming with timber, which is how components end up sitting at an angle they were never meant to sit at. Two-axis adjustment also matters during the part of the job people underestimate: alignment on the way back in. A transmission does not go back by being lifted to the right height — it goes back by being lifted to the right height and presented at the right angle, then walked onto the dowels without the input shaft taking the weight. Adjustment you can make while the unit is up is adjustment that saves you lowering, packing and lifting again. Hold-down chains are included, and they are not optional in practice The support comes with hold-down chains. It is easy to read that as a minor inclusion; it is not. A transmission sitting unsecured on a saddle is stable exactly as long as nothing changes — and something always changes. A bellhousing bolt frees, the unit drops its last quarter inch onto the saddle, the shape shifts and the centre of gravity moves. The chains are what turn a balanced component into a secured one, and the reason to use them is that the moment they matter is the moment nobody expected. Will it fit your setup? Three things need to be true, and the first two are about equipment rather than vehicles: A Mobi-EVS. This is a Mobi-EVS accessory. Do not assume it interfaces with another maker's table or jack. The Universal Deck Mount Kit, #5216120. The manufacturer names it as a requirement. It is a separate order, and it is the part that carries this saddle on the table. An automotive or light truck driveline component. BendPak's stated scope is auto and light truck transmissions, transfer cases and differentials. Heavy-duty truck work is a different class of equipment and this is not it. Confirming which Mobi-EVS configuration you have, and whether the deck mount kit is already on it, takes one message. Send us your machine details and we will tell you exactly what you still need — it is a much better use of five minutes than a return. Where it earns its place The jobs this makes safer are not the exotic ones. They are Tuesday: a clutch on a manual car, a valve body on an automatic, a transfer case out of a four-wheel drive, a differential coming down from a rear axle. Every one of those involves a heavy, greasy, unhelpfully shaped lump that has to come straight down, sit still while it is worked on, and go straight back up into an alignment that is fussier than the removal was. The alternative most shops know is a general purpose jack and a stack of improvisation — a bit of ply, a ratchet strap, a second technician holding a corner. It works until it does not, and what it costs when it does not is not the price of an adapter. Perfect For Independent repair shops doing regular driveline work who already run a Mobi-EVS and want to stop improvising. Transmission specialists, where the same handling operation happens several times a day and consistency is the whole business. Fleet and light truck workshops pulling transfer cases and differentials on a schedule. EV-equipped shops whose Mobi-EVS was bought for pack work and now needs to cover conventional driveline jobs on the rest of the fleet. What's in the box The transmission jack adapter with its bi-directional adjustable saddle, and hold-down chains. The Universal Deck Mount Kit, #5216120, is not included — it is the separate item this adapter requires. Nothing else is itemised in BendPak's listing, so nothing else is claimed here; if a specific fastener or bracket matters to your install, ask and we will confirm it against the manufacturer's documentation. Those are numbers to get from BendPak rather than from a dealer's estimate, and we will obtain them for you before you order if the answer decides the purchase. Certification and compliance, honestly There is no third-party safety listing published for this adapter in the data we hold, and this page does not imply one. Component-handling equipment is a common subject for an insurer or a group workshop policy, and the honest position is that a lifting table's own assessment covers the machine as its maker assessed it — which is a good reason to use the manufacturer's adapters rather than fabricated substitutes. If a requirement applies to you, verify it before purchase and we will help you get the manufacturer's position in writing. Delivery and pickup Shipped to the lower 48 states with the cost calculated for your address at checkout, or collected from the BendPak, Dannmar and Ranger pickup points in Santa Paula, California and Theodore, Alabama. Inspect the item before you sign for it and write any damage on the delivery paperwork while the driver is there — a bent saddle will not sit true, and that is not always visible through packaging. A signature given clear is difficult to walk back. Warranty BendPak's warranty document for this product is in the Downloads section on this page, and its terms govern. Ask us and we will send the current version before you order. If a problem arises, photograph the adapter in place and contact us before it is modified in any way — welding, drilling or cutting a load-bearing adapter ends the warranty and changes a load path that was somebody else's calculation.
