Benifuuki Wakoucha is a Japanese-style black tea using tea leaves harvested in Haraizumi, Shizuoka. This mountainous area is ideal for organic farming where the leaves are grown fr ee from pesticides and chemical fertilizers. The Benifuuki cultivar is naturally high in methylated catechins, but when processed as a black tea, the catechins are converted into tannins that make this tea so enjoyable on its own or even suitable for hot, iced, and milk tea.
