Our Sodium Bentonite Clay (montmorillonite) is silica-based and is colloidal in nature, meaning the particles suspend in liquid without breaking down or dissolving, and therefore d oes not get digested. Our Bentonite Clay is mined in Wyoming and Montana. Mining practices are designed to keep out impurities. The clay is kiln-dried, milled, and screened to size.
