ᝰ THE STORY In the colorful dawn of Lombok, five farmers begin their day in the watermelon fields. The sky, painted with the first hues of pink and orange, casts a gentle light over the lush green land. The farmers, dressed in their traditional woven hats and simple clothing are lining up, one after another, and seem to move with a practiced grace, each carrying over their shoulders a hoe that would serve to weed and break up soil. In the distance, the majestic mountains of Northern Lombok stand as silent guardians, watching over the farmers and their precious harvest. Berlima depicts an authentic scene as one of the timeless beauties of the island’s enduring traditions, where the simple act of clearing watermelon fields at dawn becomes a poignant reminder of the bond between the people and their land. 📍Lombok Utara, Nusa Tenggara Barat 🗓 2024
