I already had my skincare line at the time, and I remember seeing a table with tallow body butter or face balm. I asked the woman, “What is tallow?” She told me it was rendered fat from the cow, made from animals raised on their farm. I was surprised, but also intrigued. Later, I started researching tallow and became fascinated by the way this traditional fat had been used for skin.
