The Berwin Thea dirndl plays two textures against each other. The bodice is cotton corduroy — matte, soft, with real depth to it — set against a pleated skirt woven in horizontal stripes. Wide frogmouth piping at the neckline picks up the striped skirt fabric and ties the two halves together. The apron is plain pleated taffeta, which quiets the pattern down and gives the whole thing a finished, dressed-up feel. At 75cm the skirt sits at mid-calf, and there are proper side pockets.
