About the Clear PVC The clear finish allows the colour and character of your table to remain visible while adding a strong protective layer over the surface. On very smooth, high-gloss, glass, lacquered or highly polished tables, close contact between the protector and the table may create natural contact shading, light air pockets or slight visual variations beneath the PVC. This is a normal characteristic of clear flexible PVC and does not affect its protective performance. These effects can be more noticeable on gloss white, very light or very dark surfaces. If you would prefer to reduce the appearance of close-contact marks, consider our Frosted Matt or Pebble Effect Clear options. Size & Fit Information Please order the actual size of your tabletop. There is no need to add or remove any allowance yourself. ✓ Each protector is individually cut to the shape and measurements selected when ordering. ✓ Please carefully check your chosen shape, width and length before adding the item to your basket. ✓ Flexible PVC naturally expands and contracts slightly depending on temperature, storage and its environment. ✓ Due to the nature of the material and the cutting process, finished measurements may vary slightly from the measurements ordered. ✓ A normal sizing tolerance of approximately ±1% to ±2% may apply. Unsure About Your Table Shape? If you are unsure which shape to select, please contact us for help and advice before placing your order. You can send us a photo of your tabletop so we can help you identify the correct shape. Choosing our Oval (Racetrack) option? Your table must have two straight, parallel sides and a perfect semi-circle at each end. Both semi-circular ends must have a diameter equal to the width of your table. Not every table described as “oval” matches this shape. Some have a continuous curve around the whole edge, such as an ellipse. Round & Semi-Circle Tables Round tables: select the Round shape and enter the diameter into both the Width and Length boxes. Semi-circle tables: enter the full diameter into both Width and Length. The protector will then be cut in half to create the semi-circle shape. Easy Everyday Care Clear PVC is simple to maintain. For most everyday spills and marks, wipe the surface using a soft damp cloth and mild household cleaner. Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners or rough scouring pads, which may mark the clear surface. Important Information Clear PVC is suitable for a wide range of tables and surfaces, but because table finishes and coatings vary greatly, we cannot guarantee compatibility with every individual surface. If you have a specialist, antique, newly refinished, highly polished or unusual tabletop, we recommend checking with your table manufacturer if you have any concerns about long-term surface contact. Our thick clear PVC is not intended for permanent outdoor use. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, heat or moisture trapped beneath the protector may affect its appearance, lifespan or dimensions.
