Since we use real top grain leather hides to cut your patch, different areas of the hides may have slightly different shading and distressing. This adds to the character of our leather patches and is what makes leather patches unique compared to patches made from faux leather or leatherette. We do not recommend washing our leather patch hats. When leather gets wet it can shrink, fade, or bleed depending on the tanning process.
