About This Print Between Day and Night was captured on the drive home from a long shoot at Abraham Lake, tired, not looking for anything, when the almost-full moon slipped silently between two peaks while the setting sun was still painting the mountains in pink. The car was on the shoulder before the decision was fully conscious. There is a particular feeling that comes when the landscape hands you something unrepeatable, a tightness in the chest that is equal parts excitement and urgency. A few minutes before the alignment shifted and the light changed. James made them count.
