Introducing the Eastman 80 student double bass outfit The Eastman 80 student double bass is a carefully crafted instrument, ideal for those beginning their musical journey or advan cing their skills. Designed with students in mind, it combines quality materials, durable construction, and exceptional playability, making it an excellent choice for schools, orchestras, or private study. This versatile instrument offers a rich, resonant tone and thoughtful design features that support both learning and performance, inspiring confidence in every player. Eastman Strings is the leading distributor of bowed instruments in the USA and has a reputation for producing not only great sounding, but outstanding value for money products. Premium tonewoods for superior sound At the heart of the Eastman 80’s exceptional sound is its solid spruce top, carefully carved to optimise resonance and tonal clarity. This is paired with maple back and sides, chosen for their strength and ability to enhance the bass’s warm, full-bodied tone. Together, these tonewoods create a well-balanced sound that projects beautifully in both solo and ensemble settings, making the instrument a joy to play. Durable and elegant construction The Eastman 80 is designed to withstand the demands of regular use while maintaining its elegant appearance. An ebony fingerboard and fittings provide a smooth playing surface and reliable durability, ensuring the bass remains in excellent condition over time. The natural varnish finish enhances the wood’s natural beauty while offering protection, creating an instrument that is both stylish and resilient. Adjustable and player-friendly design To accommodate the needs of growing and developing players, the Eastman 80 features an adjustable bridge. This allows for customisation of the string height, making the bass easier to play and reducing strain during practice or performance. The instrument’s lightweight yet sturdy build ensures comfortable handling, while its reliable tuning machines provide consistent and stable intonation. A versatile choice for students With its combination of quality craftsmanship, dependable performance, and thoughtful design, the Eastman 80 student double bass is an outstanding choice for beginners and advancing players. Whether used for school performances, orchestra rehearsals, or private lessons, this instrument offers the sound and reliability needed to support a musician’s growth while encouraging them to achieve their full potential.
