Verify your exact transducer before ordering. Adjustable for Proper Transducer Position Proper transducer positioning is critical for good sonar performance. The BFE Jackplate Mount uses an adjustable pivoting design that allows the transducer angle to be leveled after the mount is installed. This makes it easier to compensate for different jackplate and boat configurations. Port or Starboard Mounting The mount is available in both Port and Starboard versions. Select the side where the mount will be installed when ordering. Skeeter and IKON owners: Review the product photos carefully before selecting your mount. Some installations may require a Port-side mount installed on the Starboard side because of the jackplate and hull configuration. Jackplate Size Requirements IMPORTANT: Standard installation requires an 8" or larger jackplate. The standard BFE Jackplate Mount does not directly fit 4" or 6" jackplates. For smaller jackplates, BFE offers a Small Jackplate Adapter that allows the mount to be used in additional applications. Important Sonar Performance Information This mount is not designed to provide transducer readings while the boat is on plane. Jackplate-mounted scanning transducers are positioned for sonar use at lower speeds. If you need depth readings while running on plane, a properly installed shoot-thru-hull transducer should be used for high-speed sonar readings.
