This is fingering weight yarn made of 80% superwash 26 micron Blue Faced Leicester wool and 20% nylon. It is hand dyed with natural dyes. It has 420 yards/384 metres in a 115 gram skein. The yarn is great for knitting, weaving and crochet. The yarn is milled in Canada. It is then dyed in our home studio using natural dyes and environmentally-sensitive processes. The dyes are all derived from nature, and come from plants or insects. Where possible, we source local Ontario materials. When these are not available, we look to Canadian distributors. Some colour variations between skeins may occur. We recommend alternating skeins if more than one is used in a project. Although we try to represent the colours as accurately as possible, the picture on your screen may differ slightly from the actual product. Products made from this yarn should be hand washed in cool water with wool wash and laid flat to dry. This yarn is great for socks as it is superwash and resistant to felting. The nylon gives it strength. It is also great for any other fingering-weight projects including hats, mitts, sweaters.
