Pre-inflates to offer 60% of full protection prior to launch Under-seat rescue container takes a rescue of 4.6l, 5.3l for XL. Large back pocket Zipped pockets on both sides of the harness with tethers Rucksack Features Sleek shape keeps the load close to your body Padded, breathable back, shoulder and hip straps Removable hip belt– simply loosen the Hoop and loop fastener and slide it out Target The WRAP is for pilots who hike-and-fly, or who simply prefer a compact and lightweight set-up. The rucksack is designed with a sleek shape and comfortable, breathable carry system, for serious mountain hiking. It switches in seconds to harness mode, with a nitinol-edged airbag that pre-inflates for pre-launch protection. The WRAP is light at 2.75kg in M, yet made from durable and robust materials that make it suitable for everyday flying. Designer's notes The Wrap was designed to excel in both hiking and flying modes. Comfort and practicality were key, and durability was also at the heart of the lightweight design. It is made from proven Cordura 500 fabric. An additional panel means that none of the external parts of the rucksack are structurally part of the harness, so any scuffs or abrasion to the bag do not affect the integrity of the harness. The harness seat back is padded and breathable, and neoprene on the leg straps adds padding to the webbing.A nitinol wire opens the airbag allowing it to pre-inflate before launch. It gives around 60% of its full protection capability before the pilot is airbporne, then fills quickly via the under-seat air intake. Theis is positioned such that the pilot’s legs will not obstruct it. - Bruce, Bruce Goldsmith Designs Features Airbag The WRAP benefits from an efficient, certified airbag. Nitinol wire in the edges means it pre-inflates as soon as you unfold it. Pre-launch protection is around 60% of the fully inflated protection. Austri-Alpin buckles The main leg straps close with lightweight and foolproof AustriAlpin thread-through aluminium buckles. Chest strap The height of the chest strap can be adjusted up or down to ensure a body-match fit. Colour-coded hang loops The main hang loops are colour-coded green and red to match the risers on BGD wings. Drinks tube The WRAP has a pocket for a drinks pouch and routings for the tube, in both harness and rucksack modes. Edelrid alu karabiners Edelrid karabiners are used for the main hang points, chosen for their light weight and reliability. Elastics Elastics on top of the rucksack are designed to carry additional clothing layers, where they are easily to hand. External helmet net The helmet can be carried on the outside of the rucksack using the external helmet net. It holds the helmet securely in place and folds away into its own zipped pocket when not needed. Helmet net loops To secure the helmet-carrying net. Pockets The WRAP has a large back pocket, plus zipped pockets with lanyard tethers on both sides. Removable hip belt The hip belt can be easily removed – simply release the Velcro and slide it out of its channel. Reserve container The reserve system has been redesigned, particularly the reserve handle attachment, to make it more secure and reduce the risk of accidental deployment. Stretchy pockets Large stretchy pockets on each side of the rucksack can be used to carry water bottles, clothing, etc. Waist belt pockets Zipped pockets on the waist belt allow you to securely stow your keys, snacks, or phone. Whistle A whistle on the chest strap is a built-in safety feature. YKK Zips The rucksack zips are robust and reliable YKK, with easy-grab loops.
