This provides the goalkeeper with a closer feel to the ball, enhancing ball-handling precision and grip. The tighter fit reduces the amount of material bunching up in the palm area, giving the goalkeeper a more natural and responsive touch. Many goalkeepers prefer this style for the improved tactile feedback and the heightened sense of control it affords, especially when catching or throwing the ball.
